Watch the Vortex Mixer Blend the Unblendable

Dual-axis planetary centrifugal motion spins and rotates the container at the same time, forcing a vortex through the material itself. No blades ever touch your product.

Pour

Add all raw components to an off-the-shelf cup or pail.

2

Snap the Lid

Place the container in the holder. Dial the counterweight to the batch.

Pre-programmed speed and duration do the rest.

Most materials fully mixed in 30 to 60 seconds. Then swap containers and go again.

Engineered for Performance

Why Manufacturers Switch to Vortex Mixing

Bladeless, Air-Free Mixing

Uniform, bubble-free results without blades, minimizing contamination and material waste.

Dual-Axis Planetary Motion

Simultaneously spins and rotates the container for fast, efficient blending across all viscosities.

Built for Tough Materials

Pastes, powders, liquids, and high-viscosity compounds. Most mix completely in 30 to 60 seconds.

Scales From Lab to Production

Eight models from 30 g benchtop R&D units to 20 kg production machines. One platform, no re-validation.

No Cleanup, No Cross-Contamination

Mix in off-the-shelf disposable cups and pails. Swap containers, not cleaning shifts.

Programmable Mix Profiles

Pre-set speed and duration per material, dialed to viscosity, temperature, and batch size.

Eight Models. 30 g to 20 kg. All CE Certified.

Every Vortex Mixer uses the same bladeless planetary centrifugal principle, so a formulation proven on the benchtop scales straight to production.

Why Vortex

Beyond the Typical Lab-Scale Mixer

Planetary centrifugal mixers are common on the benchtop. The Vortex line was built to take the same bladeless principle all the way to the production floor.

Vortex Mixer FAQ

What materials can the Vortex Mixer handle?

Pastes, powders, liquids, and very high- or low-viscosity compounds, including polyurethanes, battery slurries, adhesives and sealants, silicones, inks and pigments, and pharmaceutical formulations. If you can get it into the container, the vortex motion can usually blend it. Unsure? Send us your material details and a technical expert will confirm.

How big a batch can it mix?

From 30 grams on the benchtop VM200 up to 20 kg (44 lbs) on the dual-pail VM20,000. Eight models, all on the same bladeless planetary centrifugal principle.

How long does a mix take?

Most materials are completely mixed in 30 to 60 seconds; difficult formulations may take up to about 3 minutes. Speed (up to 1,450 RPM) and duration are pre-programmable per material.

How do I remove air bubbles from epoxy, silicone, or resin?

Mix under vacuum. The VAC models (VM1000-VAC, VM2500-VAC, VM10,000-VAC) pair a dedicated vacuum pump and surge tank with the mixing cycle, reaching −28 inHg (−96.2 kPa) in about 45 seconds. Trapped air expands under vacuum and is driven out by the centrifugal action, so epoxies, silicones, urethanes, and other resins come out bubble-free with no separate vacuum chamber or degassing step.

Do I have to clean the mixer between batches?

No. Material stays in off-the-shelf disposable cups or pails with lids. Swap the container and mix the next batch. No blades to scrape, no chamber to wash, no cross-contamination.

What’s the typical lead time?

All Vortex Mixer models are currently in stock. Tell us which model you need and where it’s going, and we’ll confirm shipping timing with your quote.

How does it compare to lab-scale speed mixers?

Same bladeless planetary centrifugal principle. The difference is range and support. The Vortex line runs from 30 g to 20 kg on one platform, offers integrated vacuum degassing, and is built in Canada with factory service technicians who travel to your facility worldwide.

What about service, parts, and training?

StateMix service technicians have 30+ years of polyurethane industry experience and travel on short notice worldwide. We provide training, preventative maintenance, upgrades, and diagnostics, and ship replacement parts globally from our Winnipeg headquarters.

What warranty comes with the mixer?

StateMix covers all non-wear parts and workmanship for 12 months. Shipping charges for warranty parts are not included.
